On August 14th at the Pomona Fairplex, over 7,000 people attended the 2010 Exit Tour “OneLoveforChi” event put on by The Whosoevers, consisting of Brian “Head” Welch (formerly of Korn), Ryan Ries, and Sonny Sandoval.

The day consisted of exhibits, swag, showcases and some good “positive” rock and roll! Show goers entered the fairplex and walked past the many band, church and art booths and making their way towards the main stage passed the skateboard demonstration area, where pro and semi-pro skaters showcased their talents.

One of the highlights throughout the day was Ronnie Faisst and some of the guys from Metal Mulisha performing a Freestyle motor cross demo for the wowed and excited crowd.

Event goers rocked out throughout the day to the sounds of Living Sacrifice, The Chariot, Secret and Whisper, and AllorNothing, leading up to the nights two headliners, HEAD and P.O.D.

In between bands, many people (including Ryan Ries and Ronnie Faisst) were able to get up on the main stage and give a testimony of how their belief and faith in God helped change and shape their lives, to take them on a new path in life.

Just at sundown, with the hi-def screens at their full effect over the crowd, Brian HEAD and band came to the stage and on his knees, with his back to the crowd as the dimmed lights came up and the intro music started, excitement built through the crowd.

Due to time constraints, the evening bands sets were only 30 minutes long, but that 30 minutes seemed to stretch into an hour. Maybe they did go over a little, or maybe like Jesus feeding the multitudes with one basket of bread and one fish, God somehow slowed time down, to feed the minds of the people in the audience. God gave time to HEAD and HEAD rocked it for God.

POD was the final act of the night and can be described in one word… AMAZING. POD came to the stage and after the first song was over, the crowd went nuts! POD featured their original line up of band members were tighter than ever, and solid.

Since the Exit Tour is a family friendly event, during “Youth of the Nation” POD invited their kids on stage, along with some children of friends and family members back stage and had the children singing the chorus with them. This added some humorous shots of the kids on stage to the big screen, which the camera men and operators running the hi-def screen captured.

Once the kids left the stage, POD continued to rock for the remainder of their set, and by the end of the night, everyone was talking about how amazing their show was.

All in all, a huge congrats should go to The Whosoevers, their sponsor church and all the performers and exhibitors that day. The Exit Tour touched many lives, reached many people and was a positive moment in time for all who were there to enjoy it.
