On August 14th at the Pomona Fairplex, over 7,000 people attended the 2010 Exit Tour “OneLoveforChi” event put on by The Whosoevers, consisting of Brian “Head” Welch (formerly of Korn), Ryan Ries, and Sonny Sandoval.

The day consisted of exhibits, swag, showcases and some good “positive” rock and roll! Show goers entered the fairplex and walked past the many band, church and art booths and making their way towards the main stage passed the skateboard demonstration area, where pro and semi-pro skaters showcased their talents.

One of the highlights throughout the day was Ronnie Faisst and some of the guys from Metal Mulisha performing a Freestyle motor cross demo for the wowed and excited crowd.

Event goers rocked out throughout the day to the sounds of Living Sacrifice, The Chariot, Secret and Whisper, and AllorNothing, leading up to the nights two headliners, HEAD and P.O.D.

In between bands, many people (including Ryan Ries and Ronnie Faisst) were able to get up on the main stage and give a testimony of how their belief and faith in God helped change and shape their lives, to take them on a new path in life.

Just at sundown, with the hi-def screens at their full effect over the crowd, Brian HEAD and band came to the stage and on his knees, with his back to the crowd as the dimmed lights came up and the intro music started, excitement built through the crowd.

Due to time constraints, the evening bands sets were only 30 minutes long, but that 30 minutes seemed to stretch into an hour. Maybe they did go over a little, or maybe like Jesus feeding the multitudes with one basket of bread and one fish, God somehow slowed time down, to feed the minds of the people in the audience. God gave time to HEAD and HEAD rocked it for God.

POD was the final act of the night and can be described in one word… AMAZING. POD came to the stage and after the first song was over, the crowd went nuts! POD featured their original line up of band members were tighter than ever, and solid.

Since the Exit Tour is a family friendly event, during “Youth of the Nation” POD invited their kids on stage, along with some children of friends and family members back stage and had the children singing the chorus with them. This added some humorous shots of the kids on stage to the big screen, which the camera men and operators running the hi-def screen captured.

Once the kids left the stage, POD continued to rock for the remainder of their set, and by the end of the night, everyone was talking about how amazing their show was.

All in all, a huge congrats should go to The Whosoevers, their sponsor church and all the performers and exhibitors that day. The Exit Tour touched many lives, reached many people and was a positive moment in time for all who were there to enjoy it.

Each girl chosen to attend one of the Click Tour dates will receive training from Primer in Social Media Networking, a 30-Day platform and network built for them as well as in-depth details of how to get the most out of their new social media marketing programs.

In addition, girls will receive professional advice on modeling, marketing and the essentials to being a well-respected professional model. They’ll get to keep the clothes they shoot in and even have the chance of working with the designers for future shoots if chosen. And they will get to work with one and receive advice from of the biggest names in the make-up industry, Rachel Bernstein. This isn’t your normal photo shoot; it is a life and learning experience that we’d all be so lucky to be a part of which is why there’s an approval process and limited spaces available.

A Leader’s Most Effective Trait

By: Giovanni Pereyra

“The key to a leader’s impact is sincerity. Before he can inspire with emotion he must be swayed by it himself. Before he can move their tears his own must flow. To convince them he must himself believe” Winston Churchill.

In our networking business, ineffective leadership is the primary barrier for success of any team. Depending on your style, the role you play will affect the entire group. There are many different styles of leadership, from my point of view, I would like to describe bellow one of the most effective traits a leader must have to impact positively the team.

Authenticity.

The vision of the company, moving words pasted in a frame hung on the wall that are put into action, is lived by the leader. In a successful networking team, there are no inconsistencies between what is being said and offered to what the leader delivers. The values come from their inner self and are expressed everyday in each task. Seminars are delivered on time, and support is present when it is needed, providing value to the team. In this business, leaders are not afraid to show their emotions, the passion for their desires, and believes associated with these values.

Proclaiming to be authentic is not sufficient. Your acts must show it! You can’t behave like a politician, promoting yourself as the leader who cares about your prospects’ future, but as soon as he signed in, you forget the promise on your Thank You Page. It is not just about money; it goes beyond material consideration. You have someone’s dreams in your hands! Depending on the affiliate ticket this prospect had invested on, It could be his very last card in his budget, and you have to deliver on the value you promised.

The team in your organization will be influenced by what you recommend. If you have a new affiliate proposition, most likely, the vast majority will follow your instruction. You are the teacher, and people like to be led by their role model. People will emulate you, that is a huge responsibility for a leader. Before you promote another affiliate concept, you must be sure it will meet the expectations of your team and assure the proper guidelines are clear to follow.

The results of the team will be based on the decisions made by the leader, and the capacity to show teammates effective strategies to develop their business. One of my favorite slogans is from Nike “Just Do It”, don’t just talk about it. You must assume your role and let the results give you the gold medal you deserve.

Social Media Marketing 2.0: The Death Of Old Gurus

By: Faiz Suberi

The emergence of numerous Web 2.0 platforms has yielded a new era of internet marketing and promotion. Building web traffic using traditional methods of article marketing, link building, list building and hours of keyword research used to be what the internet marketing gurus would always preach to us. However, I can’t help but noticing that the old gurus are…gone?

Perhaps I’m being a little far fetched. Then again, technology is often the one moving forward. Relentless and merciless like a crazy bullet train with more than 10,000 horsepower, it waits for no one. Month after month I see the old internet marketing gurus being phased out. The old affiliate landing pages like the Whiz Kid or Chris Rock are dead. Perhaps a few like Chris McNeeny, Brad Callen, M Latif or Rob Benwell would stay with us for a while, but the rest? My initial deduction is this: they simply didn’t catch up.

Affiliate marketing has become so advanced that you either have to see every conceivable traffic generation strategy as a MUST, or you simply go BUST. I remember when I was struggling to make my first HTML website with all the traditional WYSIWYG interface and scripting, a lot of people were already capitalizing on the best Web 2.0 tool out there: BLOGS.

By the time I got to blogs, people were so busy configuring RSS feed, Twitter’in and Tagging each other. I didn’t realize the traffic potential of these tools until I saw it with my own eyes. They really are powerful! No wonder the architecture of Web 2.0 websites go hand in hand! As blogs would allow users to syndicate RSS feeds for updates, social bookmarking would update profile pages on numerous social networking services.

They don’t stop there, friends and contacts on the list (driven by curiosity) would simply click away just to check things out. With the emergence of Technocrati and Squidoo, ‘expert opinion’ pages can now be set up sharing interesting ‘how to’ articles and videos, driving hoards of traffic to eventually land on your website.

And don’t get me started on Twitter. With the proper Twitterfeed set up as you update your blog or website, people who like your stuff would either retweet it or share it on their social networks. And their friends would check it out, friends to their friends would check it out as well. The effect is simply VIRAL. Pictures, experiences and even simple quotes and jokes would keep visitors coming back for more. The possibilities are endless and waiting to be explored (if not exploited).

What used to take months for a blog to rank well in search engines just to build a steady amount of web traffic is expedited by the process of dynamic linking, updating and of course, social networking. What makes Web 2.0 so powerful is the interaction between bloggers, webmasters and readers alike. It’s not just what I say, it’s also about what you think!

Bloggers and website owners should be more human in this context. As social media marketing is not solely dependent (or warm) towards automated software and blatant selling, it is ’social’. By definition, it is the interaction of humans. Affiliate bloggers should definitely keep these things in mind. Affiliate blogging is not about keywords and syndication anymore, it’s about SHARING. Blatant selling will get you nowhere.

Venture into it if you must (and you must), but do it with a human touch. That’s where you need the time for it. A little social networking goes a long way.
